OUTDOOR PET SESSION GUIDE
Welcome
Thank you for booking a photography session with Amanda Fonti Photography. This guide will help you feel prepared, relaxed, and excited for your upcoming session. My approach is gentle, patient, and completely tailored to you and your pets. I focus on capturing genuine connection, personality, and the moments that matter most.
What to Expect
Sessions are relaxed, fun, and pressure‑free.
• I guide you naturally with simple prompts and interactions.
• For dogs, the session is completely dog‑led — sniffing, exploring, breaks, and excitement are all welcome.
• I adapt to all personalities: shy, energetic, anxious, or anything in between.
• The goal is to create a comfortable environment where real moments unfold.
Clothing
• Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in.
• Neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you and your dog.
• Avoid large logos, neon colours, or busy patterns.
• Coordinate rather than match — soft, earthy, or muted tones work well together.
• Remove any glasses if possible, during shoot to avoid glare
For Dogs
• Bring favourite treats, toys, or anything that helps them feel secure.
• A short walk before the session can help them settle.
• If your dog is anxious or reactive, don’t stress — I work with all behaviours and adjust the session to suit them.
• Bring water, especially on warm days.
• Bring narrow dog lead if dogs need to remain on lead so it is easily removed in post-production
Weather
• Outdoor sessions rely on natural light.
• If the weather turns bad, we can reschedule at no extra cost.
• Cloudy days are perfect for soft, even lighting.
During the Session
• I’ll guide you through natural interactions rather than stiff poses.
• Expect movement, play, cuddles, and genuine connection.
• Dogs are allowed to be dogs — sniffing, running, rolling, or being silly is all part of the magic.
• Breaks are completely normal and encouraged.
• You don’t need to look at the camera the whole time; the best photos come from authentic moments.
After the Session
• Mini Sessions: Your full gallery will be delivered within 1 week.
• Full Sessions: Your full gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks.
• All images are delivered in high resolution, ready for printing, sharing, and enjoying with family and friends.
Tips for the Best Experience
• Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.
• Bring water for pets and kids.
• Bring thin lead for easy removal in post production if your pet needs to be on lead.
• Keep the vibe relaxed — your dog feeds off your energy.
• Trust the process; even chaotic moments often become the most beautiful images.
